At Rucstall Primary School, we are fortunate to have many children who speak different languages at home. Celebrating language and culture is and important way to broaden and strengthen our community.
One way that we can do this is to have a Language of the Term - starting with Romanian! Please enjoy the celebration of Romania that has been put together by our Romanian pupils.
In celebration of our Language of the Term, our Romanian children wore their National Dress to school. Did you know that these beautiful, embroidered clothes used to be worn by peasants until Queen Marie decided that they were too pretty not to be worn by people of a higher status!
In assembly, we also read Stan Bolovan; a story about a man with 100 children who outwitted a young dragon and his mother!
It has been a wonderful term embracing the Romanian culture. Thank you to our parents who also helped to support this.
