We enjoyed a Spring Term Rock Concert at the end of last term from all of the children who have been learning instruments with Rock Steady. The children delighted us with their skills on the drums, keyboard, guitar and vocals. Well done to all of those who took part and we look forward to the next show soon!
Today PC Charlotte Warhurst visited Rucstall Primary School to meet parents, children and staff. As part of Hampshire Constabulary's new 'Local Bobbies' initiative the school invited PC Warhurst to meet their community in the area of Grove. PC Warhurst greeted parents and children at the gate with headteacher Mrs Ruth Griffiths. She then visited classrooms across the school, introducing herself to the children and answering their questions.
Things the children found out about PC Warhurst were:
Her favourite colour is yellow!
She supports Southampton FC and enjoys playing football in her own time.
She is there to help keep everyone safe and would love the children to say hello when they see her in the local area and in Festival Place.
The children enjoyed meeting PC Warhurst, finding out things about her role and seeing the Police Car in the school car park! The school and PC Warhurst look forward to working together in coming months to support the communities they serve.
