Celebrating many different languages at our school,
We are very fortunate at Rucstall Primary School to have a wealth of different languages spoken in our school.
At the moment, we have speakers of these languages.
Ar Rucstall Primary School, we have been recognised by Hampshire's EMTAS (Ethnic Minority and Traveller Achievement Service) for our work with children who have English as an additional language.
We are pleased to share that we have been awarded the Bronze EAL Excellence Award.
Young Interpreters
Young Interpreters offer support to children new to our school by providing a friendly face and possibly helping with interpreting in the early transition days.

Languages we speak at Rucstall Primary School
This is when we focus on a different language spoken and festivals celebrated by other countries at school through our collective worship times.
We believe that the bi/multilingualism of our children and staff enriches our school and community.
We feel that it is important that our children with English as an additional language have the opportunity to share and use their home language at school.
We hope that having an understanding of other languages and cultures will provoke interest and respect.
Here are some of our Language Celebration assemblies.
