Rucstall Primary School

A caring, fun loving, learning community

Ash Class

Welcome to Ash Class!

I hope you all had an exciting summer and you all took good care of your swans! I have seen some pictures of what they have been up to but we are excited to hear all about your adventures.

It has been lovely meeting you all over the past few days and we are looking forward to you all starting school. There will be lots of fun playing, exploring and learning and it will be good to meet lots of other children and make new friends.

Jeffy, our class bear, is also in his new school uniform just like you waiting to meet you on your first day.

Take a look at a video of our classroom so you can see what it is looking like before you start school!

My swan came on holiday to the New Forest with me and he enjoyed a walk looking out of the rucksack at all of the other wildlife.

Week 1 - Have a look at what we have been doing this week!

Our Self-Portraits! We learnt that a portrait is a picture of someone's face. We looked at some of the art created by the artist Holbein and had a go at creating our own self portrait. I am sure you will agree, many of them have an excellent likeness!

Autumn 2

I hope you all had a lovely half term and got to enjoy some time together after a long first half term in school. This half term we will be continuing to look at seasonal changes and weather as we move from autumn to winter. We will also be looking at space and finally exploring different celebrations before Christmas.
