Art this half term is focussed on the skill of collage.

We have been learning about Lisa Stickley and her art style and techniques.

Today, we embraced our inner fashion designer and used collage to design an original outfit!

Our current PSHE learning is focussed on healthy relationships. This week, we learnt the meaning of the word 'restorative'. We practised in pairs having a restorative conversation, which can support us both inside and outside of school.

We were lucky enough to spend this afternoon working together to build some amazing shelters! We split into 3 groups and each had a turn building a different kind of shelter.

We built shelters with the Kit Camp ensuring that they had a floor, roof and secure walls!

We also had a go at building some dens using different sized branches and sticks.

And Mrs Sayer helped us to construct ridge line shelters. We then sat all together inside a ridge line shelter for a whole class story!

In RE this half term, we have been learning all about Neighbours and what that might mean to Christians. To support us with this, we have read the Good Samaritan parable. Today, we retold that parable in our own ways, ensuring that the meaning was still the same.

In Science this half term, we are learning all about separating mixtures.

Our first investigation was 'How does the amount of water used affect how much sugar is dissolved?'

To answer this question, we used skittles in different amounts of water to see which amount dissolved the sugar the quickest and the most thoroughly!

This half term in PE, we have been focussing on gymnastics. The children have begun by practising their balances and poses. They have been using their knowledge to support their partners too!
