This week, we welcomed Open the Book, a group from our local church, St Mary's, who shared the story of Moses and the Red Sea with us in a lively assembly. The children loved the engaging storytelling and learning about this timeless story. The four Year 2 children made a very good red sea!

Music Assembly

Today, the children showcased their musical talents, playing for the whole school in an afternoon concert. Peripatetic music lessons offer our children the chance to explore their love of learning a range of different instruments - this time, the focus was on piano and keyboard.

On Friday, we had a great time at the Summer Fayre with a range of fun stalls! This ranged from the exciting Year 6 Enterprise stalls, a fire engine, a police car, an ice cream van, craft stalls and go-karts!

Thank you to the PTFA and all who attended and supported! You helped vital funds for the school!

Sports Day

Once again, the children of Rucstall Primary School represented their house teams in a series of sporting challenges! The atmosphere was wonderful as the children, teachers and parents cheered on the competitors in a great display of sportsmanship.

This year, the victory went to the Red Phoenixes - well done everyone!

Reading Reward

Instilling a love of reading is something we are very passionate about; transporting you to new worlds and providing endless opportunities to learn new things.

We celebrated our children who have caught the reading bug - reading 300 times this academic year! Children who picked up one of our year group recommended reads each half term also enjoyed the time in our beautiful grounds.

House Team Rewards

Throughout the year, each child earns house points for their house team: Red Phoenix; Blue Centaur; Green Dragon and Yellow Unicorn.

House points are earned for honouring and demonstrating our school values. Congratulations to all of our children who enjoyed our house team celebrations.
