Pupil Leadership

At Rucstall Primary School, our Pupil Leadership Team gives children the opportunity to develop leadership skills, represent the views of their peers and make a positive contribution to school life.

At the start of each school year, pupils discuss what makes Rucstall Primary School a great place to learn and how it could be improved even further. Through a range of leadership roles, children help to shape school life and act as positive role models for others.

House Captains

Our House Captains are elected Year 6 pupils who oversee the House Team system. They are responsible for counting weekly house points, supporting and organising house events, and acting as role models for younger children.

Phoenix (Red) - Evie & Freddie

Unicorn (Yellow) - Liva & Emmanuel

Librarians

Our Librarians receive training to help keep our school libraries organised and welcoming. They also support younger children in selecting books and promote a love of reading throughout the school.

Our Librarians are:

Elham, Mia, Livia, Heidi, Lily, Eleanor and Anne.

Play Leaders

Our Play Leaders receive training to help engage and support younger children during lunchtimes. They encourage participation in games and activities, help children build friendships and promote positive play across the school.

Equality and Rights Advocates (EARA)

Our Equality and Rights Advocates help to promote equality, inclusion and children's rights throughout the school. They support awareness of fairness, respect and belonging, helping to ensure that every child feels valued and represented.

Young Interpreters

Our Young Interpreters help children who are new to our school, particularly those who speak English as an additional language. They provide a friendly welcome, help pupils settle into school life and support them in building confidence and friendships.
