Family Support and Community Assistance

At our school, we recognise that every family may need a little extra support from time to time. If you are experiencing difficulties with finances, food, housing, wellbeing, parenting, employment, or any other family circumstances, please do not hesitate to contact us.

We understand that asking for help can sometimes feel difficult, but support is available and you are not alone. Our staff are here to listen and, where possible, can offer advice, practical support, or help connect you with local services and organisations that may be able to assist.

All conversations will be treated sensitively and confidentially. We encourage families to get in touch as early as possible so that we can work together to find the most appropriate support.

The information below outlines some of the services available within the local community that may be helpful to families.

School Uniform Support

Families may wish to access the local School Uniform Pop Up Shop at Rucstall Community Centre, which offers a selection of pre-loved school uniform items. Families can swap items or make a suggested £1 donation, and cash or card payments are accepted. Donations of good-quality uniform are also welcomed. The Pop Up Shop takes place on Fridays from 10.00am to 12.00pm. For further information, contact christine@viables.org.uk
