Rucstall Primary School

A caring, fun loving, learning community

School Council

So far so good!

We would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to everyone for all of your support during the Autumn Term!

In just one term alone we were able to raise £268.70 on our Spotacular day, £75 for on our Christmas Jumper day and donated 107.5kg of food (which is 256 meals!) to our local food bank. As well as helping out these amazing charities, we are also raising money for the school which the School Council will be able to use to enrich every child's time at Rucstall.

We will continue to try and support both local charities and our school this term and look forward to raising even more money!!

School Council update

Today a letter has been sent home that tells you all about the charity we have decided to support this year and how the funds that are raised by the school will be used.

There is also information regarding a couple of projects that the children at the school can get involved with, including the naming of our school libraries!

Today the local Basingstoke Food bank came to collect the donations from Rucstall Primary School - they were incredibly grateful for everything and were especially grateful for the fact that people had gone out of their way to collect specific items from their list. So a massive thank you from them and us!!

Welcome to the School Council Page

At Rucstall, our school council is a body of pupils set up to represent all pupils on issues that affect them.

At the start of the school year, the children and their Class Teachers spoke about what Rucstall means to them and how they could make it an even better place to be. Last year the school council decided on an outdoor adventure trail and selected individual pieces of equipment they would like to have available to them during play times. The construction of this will commence after the installment of a new fence.

Following class discussions and previous experience, the following children have been selected as School Council members and will be the 'Pupil Voice' of the school:

Fir: William and Arlo

Hazel: Lilly and Joseph

Lime: Vinnie and Isla

Maple: Charlie M, Ollie and Alexa

Rowan: Summer-Mai and Ellie

Willow: Ruby and Gabriella

Our first major action will be to decide on which charities we will be supporting this year and how we can best fund raise throughout the year. Each term the children will add to this page keeping you up to date with everything they have been doing and keeping you informed of any upcoming events.
