The Friends of Rucstall

Most schools have a parent-teacher association to support school activities. To this group we add our many friends. The intention of the group, of which all parents are members, is to arrange a variety of activities for the children and their families which are both enjoyable and in some instances raise money for the school. Over the past few years they have arranged the annual Family Fun Evening, car boot and jumble sales, children's discos, children's games evenings, and outings to ice shows and football matches. Resulting from these events, the Friends have purchased many items for the school including computers, books, video camera, televisions, sporting equipment and science/technology equipment.

They have been instrumental in refurbishing the school library which has been christened the 'Friends Jubilee Library'. The school is highly indebted to this group's support.

The Friends meet about once a term to decide upon and arrange activities. These meetings are very friendly and parents are encouraged to attend them!

If you wish to know more about our 'Association' please feel free to contact Mrs Carole Oliver, the Friends Chairperson - she can be contacted via the school.
