Child's Play
Hello everyone! I hope that you have had a wonderful Easter break and you are ready to begin the summer term.
Our topic this half term is Child's Play.. We'll be investigating and learning about what life was like for children in the past. We'll be looking at life was like at school, what toys children played with and how technology has changed.
Looking forward to seeing you all again and I hope that you are excited for our new topic! :)
Hello and welcome back! I hope you had a lovely half term.
Our next topic is Our Living Planet. This topic allows us to explore the different plants that live around us and what their functions are.
As well as looking at the science side of plants, we will also be using plants in our writing, maths, art, geography and computing!
Attached is our copy of the topic web. I hope you are excited to begin a new topic and chapter in our learning :)
A mouse took a stroll through a deep dark wood...
Our topic this term is The Gruffalo!
We'll be looking at all the different animals in the Gruffalo, the habitat they live in and walking down to Black Dam ponds to see if we can find the Gruffalo for ourselves...
Please find attached the topic web for this term, as well as the homework.
I'm an explorer... GET ME OUT OF HERE!

Welcome back!
The time has come for us to pack away our summer clothes and return back to school. I can’t believe where the time has gone, but I would like to say welcome back for a new year in Elm Class! I am so excited to welcome everyone into their new class with their new teacher. I hope that you will have as much fun learning and I will from teaching you all.
Reminders:
PE days are Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday is indoor PE and Thursday is outdoor PE, so please make sure that you have the right kit with you for those days. Earrings are not allowed during PE so please don’t wear them or you have a safe place to put them during our lessons. Also, long hair needs to be tied back so bring a spare hair band.
Homework will be given on a Friday and expected back on the following Thursday.
We will also be doing a weekly spelling test. The spellings will be given to you on Friday and the test will be the following Thursday.
Reading is very important and therefore, you need to be reading 3 times a week. Please make sure that your reading folders and books come to school every day.
Again, I am so excited to begin this new term with you all and I hope you are ready to learn lots of new things!
If you have any problems or questions, please feel free to contact me.
